General Info:
Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 8:30AM is the date and time of the Pound Buddies Hair of the Dog 15K and Relay Run. As its name implies, teams of 3 will each run a 5K while circling around Bear Lake and enjoying the residential neighborhoods of North Muskegon. This family friendly, healthy lifestyle event is sanctioned with USA Track & Field and supports the mission of Pound Buddies Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. All participants will receive a long sleeve “Dri-Fit” moisture wicking shirt. This event welcomes runners AND walkers to participate. Running strollers WILL be allowed. While we love our pets like family, unfortunately pets will NOT be allowed at the venue nor on the course. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation with leaving your pets at home. Skateboards, bikes, roller blades and wagons will not be allowed on the course.

6:30AM to 8:00AM: Late registration, packet pickup at Bear Lake Park
(Cash and checks will be accepted)
8:05AM: Final pre-race instructions
8:20AM: National Anthem
8:30AM: Start event with first team member
Additional Details:
All team members will be given an event bib with their team’s assigned number.
Each team will be given a baton which must be carried during each leg of the run. Baton must be passed along
to the next team member after completion of each leg.
The team baton will have a timing chip attached to it for reading at the start and final finish of the run.
Team members may bring a bicycle to each Exchange Zone in order to get to the Exchange Zone and back to the venue after completion of their individual leg. We are also working on areas where team vehicles may be parked along the course for your convenience.
A Port-O-Jon will be placed at each Exchange Zone
Aid Stations:
There will be 1 aid station at the halfway point of each 5K leg. Aid stations will provide Gatorade and water.
Post Race:
After the race, prior to and during the awards, participants will be given bottled water, bananas, and baked goods to name a few items.
Awards:
Overall awards, 3 deep, will be given to teams comprised of all male, all female and Co-Ed classifications.
